Here I have some very lovely handpainted sock wool. I use Henry's Attic pure wool machine washable 4ply/fingering as my base yarn and then colour away from there.
Each skien is unique and is enough to make one pair of normal size adult socks. The skiens weigh 100gms and have a length of 396m. I have knitted a pair of socks in my Fairies colourway so check them out in the Gallery, they not only looked beautiful but feel so lovely to touch. Also now using 100% pure merino wool which is 2ply/sock weight 100gms/375m, 24sts/10cm on 3.5mm needles. And a lovely wool/bamboo/nylon blend which is 40% wool, 40% bamboo and 20% nylon making it soft and durable. It is a sock weight yarn 100gms/350m, 28sts/10cm on 2.75mm needles
